WELCOME to Gateway Skating Club!
We are proud members of Skate Canada and have been operating in the Edmonton area since 1964. We offer recreational learn to skate programs through to competitive figure skating. Our professionally trained and certified NCCP coaches support all our skaters in reaching their full potential at every level.

OUR PROGRAMS
Gateway offers skating programs throughout the year, with our regular season beginning in September and running until May, as well as Spring and Summer sessions.
LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAMS
We offer Skate Canada's Learn to Skate Programs including Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate and CanPower, which are based on Sport Canada’s long term athlete development (LTAD) principles.
FIGURE SKATING FUNDAMENTALS
The Junior Academy (by invitation only) and Advanced CanSkate/StarPrep are the bridge programs to Private Lessons. Skaters learn fundamental figure skating skills in a group setting.
FIGURE SKATING PRIVATE LESSONS
We offer Skate Canada StarSkate and CompetitiveSkate programs, which are a combination of group and Private Lessons.

IMPORTANT UPDATES
- Fall (September- December 2018) Learn to Skate classes are now open for registration.
- PA training session on Thursday, September 6, 2018 (5:45 – 8:30 pm) at Millwoods. Remember your skates. This will be a day we go over skills and responsibilities needed to be a PA. The on-ice session will be from 5:45 – 6:30 pm and off ice will be from 6:45 – 8:30 with pizza to come around 6:45 pm.
- All Off-ice classes begin Saturday Sept. 8th
- Morning Ice sessions begin Tuesday, Sept. 11th
- No Skating on the following days: Monday Oct. 8th (Thanks Giving) Sunday Nov. 11th (Remembrance Day) Monday Feb. 18th (Family Day)
